I will discuss alternatives and will reduce my patient's anxiety by spending adequate time explaining all aspects of my patient's surgical care.In addition, visual aids including instructive videotapes, before and after pictures and computer imaging will be used when appropriate to add to an understanding of the proposed surgery.By the time my patient completes the initial consultation they will be well informed, at ease and confident to go forward.
