Dr. Winfield Hartley is a native of Atlanta Georgia. His earliest introduction to plastic surgery was through his uncle, Dr. John Hartley, former president of the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. He received his B.A. degree in 1969 from the University of Iowa, and he earned his M.D. in 1973 from Northwestern University Medical School.
