From there he relocated again to complete a six-year combined residency in general and plastic surgery at the University of Kentucky, and he followed up that experience with a one-year fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Utah. In 2000 he returned to his birth state to join Dr. Denton Watumull as a senior partner of Regional Plastic Surgery Center.In addition to his educational experience, Dr. Byrne is proud to have been recognized by D Magazine six times as one of the best plastic surgeons in Dallas, and he is a member of several prestigious medical organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
